After Dolittle’s Failure, Robert Downey Jr Willing To Take Pay-Cut To Return As Iron Man - Reports

Iron Man is one of the most loved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fans were majorly disappointed that they wouldn’t get to see Robert Downey Jr. play Iron Man after the character’s death in Iron Man. However, there have been reports that Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Iron Man in a cameo in Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson. The film is set after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and RDJ will reportedly return once again to MCU in this film.

However, if reports on the Internet are to be believed, the performance of Robert Downey Jr’s previous film Dolittle has something to do with his return. Reports on the Internet state that Robert Downey Jr. is willing to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Iron Man for less money after the flop of Dolittle. A report on We Got This Covered states, “Dolittle bombing spectacularly at the box office in the wake of awful reviews has seen the actor become more reasonable when it comes to the financial terms of a new contract and he’s open to accepting less money for a return now.”

Robert Downey Jr. has played the character of Iron Man for 11 years now, so of course, fans want him to return and want to see him don the Iron Man suit once again.
